We’ve had a whirlwind 2011! We celebrated our first year of business in May with a giant birthday blow-out show, plus graduated two full classes of students into the Nashville burlesque scene. Freya performed at six festivals across the country and was awarded Prilosec OTC’s Official Fire Eater status. We are so thankful for all the audience support, all the new students, and most of all, your beautiful word of mouth recommendations. We wouldn’t be here without all of your lovely faces, so big glittery hugs and kisses to you!

So what’s in store for 2012? Lots of new and exciting ventures, including one of the preeminent burlesque performers in the world coming to Nashville to perform and teach! Freya plans to rev up her travel engine again, as well as perform in and produce many more local shows.

So when can we see you next? Music City Burlesque will be dancing with the circus contraption that is the Ford Theatre Reunion on January 5th. So get over your New Year’s hangover and come out and dance with us! You can buy tickets on Exit/In’s website and get more info on the Facebook Event Page

The next Music City Burlesque Show, BOOlesque at the Belcourt, featuring headmistress Freya as well as several DD graduates, parades into Nashville on October 29th! This show has sold out every year it’s been on, so get your tickets when they go on sale on Sept 30th at Belcourt.org, or you’ll be cursed to be left out!

Burlesque 101 returns on Sundays at 2pm or Wednesdays at 6pm. Space is limited and registration is open now!

Burlesque 201 is moving to a brand new time! Starting October 18th, we’re moving on up to 6pm on Tuesdays.

Can’t wait to start your semester? Drop in to Cardio Burlesque to work up a sweat on Tuesdays at 6pm (moving to 7:15pm on October 18th) or get some zen with Yogalesque on Wednesdays at 7:15pm. Both of these classes are only $8 to drop in!

And our latest graduating class will be presenting their tassels on November 11th! Tickets will be on sale soon.
